Darcy Crabtree
Darcy Crabtree is the daughter of Ray Jr. and Melissa Crabtree. Darcy was born October 14, 1997. She was born with Cerebral Palsy. Doctors said Darcy would never walk nor talk on her own. At the age of 4 her parents took her to Little Rock Children’s Hospital for Darcy to have surgery on her legs to help her walk. A week after Darcy’s cast came off she started learning how to walk on her own. Darcy can sing I LOVE YOU from (the Barnie Song), Say HI and Bye, and can Count 1-10, and a few more other words on her own. Darcy has attended Fouke School since Pre K and now is a senior this year. On voting day for homecoming court, the Fouke senior high football team, made up of sophomores, juniors, and her senior classmates voted for Darcy to be one of the fifteen homecoming maids. Now, not only do her parents get to see their daughter walk across the stage to get her diploma but they also received a call saying that the Fouke Senior football team has voted her for Homecoming court this year. Darcy may have been in special classes but her classmates have never left her out. Whether she’s receives the crown or not, Darcy will always be a queen in everyone’s heart.

Anyone who gets to meet Darcy is a very lucky person. She’s always smiling and no matter how horrible your day has been just walking into the same room as her will brighten your day. She loves her baby cousin Karson and he loves her. I was blessed to become a part of her family and ever since the day I met her all I think about is how strong she is, her and her family have shown me that God really is something special and can do amazing things.

That’s an awesome story that kids still have a heart and to want to give a special need child to feel loved and special. It just warms my heart and soul to know we still have them kind of families around to raise there children right.
